- It will also promote young talent through Impulse Program: Raval, which seeks to ensure equal educational opportunities for young people from vulnerable backgrounds in Barcelona’s Raval neighbourhood
The new SEAT CUPRA Foundation strives to build a fairer, more engaged society by investing in people’s well-being and communities’ progress. At the Foundation’s launch in September 2025 at the CASA SEAT Barcelona headquarters, the core focus of the organisation’s activities were announced: healthcare and new generations. Through empowering these groups and driving this legacy, SEAT S.A. continues its efforts as a driving force of Spain’s economic and industrial development.
The launch event was attended by Markus Haupt, President of the SEAT CUPRA Foundation and Dr. Patricia Such, who will lead the organisation. They were joined by representatives from the organisations involved in the Foundation’s first initiatives.
Markus Haupt, President of the SEAT CUPRA Foundation
We want to transform the present while imagining the future, inspiring young people to lead without fear.
Health, Key to Societal Transformation: The first health-related initiative launched by the SEAT CUPRA Foundation was the ‘Health on e-wheels’ project, where two CUPRA Borns and two CUPRA Tavascans were donated to the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Barcelona to facilitate the mobility of medical professionals to patients’ homes across the city.
This initiative is set to grow to a larger scale throughout the year, with the donation of 100% electric vehicles to new hospitals across Barcelona and Catalonia promoting both in-home medical care and sustainable mobility. In addition, the Foundation is working to develop research programmes and scholarships for young scientists, equipping them with the necessary skills to lead innovative projects that drive better health for all.
This commitment to health is part of SEAT S.A.'s 75-year history. Since its creation, the company has been a pioneer in integrating health into its corporate culture, offering in-house medical assistance to employees. The company has also played a major role in championing health externally throughout decisive moments in recent history. During the COVID-19 pandemic, for example, SEAT S.A. rallied to support health and wellbeing across wider society by manufacturing emergency ventilators and collaborating with health authorities to vaccinate thousands of people.
Dr. Patricia Such, Director of the SEAT CUPRA Foundation
We believe in the talent of the new generations and their power to change the world.
New Generations Driving the Future: With the aim of supporting new generations, the SEAT CUPRA Foundation has launched the Impulse Program: Raval initiative, which seeks to be a catalyst for transformation in Barcelona’s Raval neighbourhood. This project aims to promote community involvement and ensure equal educational opportunities for young people in vulnerable situations in the area. In collaboration with the University of Barcelona and the Tot Raval Foundation, an academic chair will be established to analyse the challenges faced by young people in the Raval, alongside a social action plan to reduce the school dropout rate.
The SEAT CUPRA Foundation also fosters creative talent in cinema through The Dream Makers, in collaboration with the Catalan School of Film and Audiovisuals (ESCAC) and J.A. Bayona. This initiative has already provided funding for young filmmakers to produce two short films, as well as a scholarship for film studies at the school.
