Motability with SEAT FAQs

It’s simple. You, or the person you care for, needs to receive the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance. You also qualify if you get the Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment, the War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement or Armed Forces Independent Payment. You can see if you’re eligible here.

If you still need to apply for your mobility allowance, or you want a copy of your award notice that details your entitlement, just contact the Department of Work and Pensions.

No, not at all. Many people who join SEAT Motability don’t even drive. Just add up to two named drivers on your insurance. You could choose your parents, your children, a family member or a carer. Just as long as they only use the car for your benefit.

Simply that you don’t have to pay anything else to get your SEAT. Just exchange your weekly mobility allowance. We do everything we can to make sure there are plenty of cars with Nil Advance options in our SEAT Motability range. See what offers you can find.

No, it’s part of the amount you pay for your SEAT Motability car. This payment comes from your own finances.

When you order your SEAT Motability car, we’ll let you know the fixed cost of your Advance Payment.

You might need to pay a holding deposit to order your car. But this gets deducted from your Advance Payment when you pick it up.

Don’t worry, we’ll give you plenty of notice before you need to make your Advance Payment.

It’s simple. Once you’re ready to order, the Motability Specialist at your local SEAT Retailer will help you with everything. Just take along:

•   Your driving licence

•   Certificate of entitlement from the Department of Work and Pensions or Veterans UK

•   Proof of address (this can be a recent utility bill or bank statement)

•   Details of any accidents or driving convictions, for you or your named drivers

•   If any of your named drivers can’t get to the Retailer with you, just take their driving licence and a completed Driver Consent Form

You need to come and order your car yourself, unless you’ve got a legal appointee to represent you.

Absolutely. There are lots of adaptations available via your SEAT Retailer at no extra charge. Take a look at our adaptations page for more details.

It depends on the availability of the model you choose. Once you’ve ordered your car, we’ll keep you updated on its progress.

You can choose any car with an ABI Insurance Group 16 or lower, or 121PS vehicles.

So just make sure you check if any of your named drivers are under 25.

No, you’re all set. Your SEAT Motability package includes the cost of each service – plus maintenance repairs for wear and tear. You’re also covered for tyre repair and replacement, windscreen repair and a 60,000 mileage allowance, over three years.
