We have developed a simple ‘self-service’ website, so that you can check if your vehicle is affected by the EA 189 NOx emissions issue.
All you need to do is enter the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) details of your vehicle. If your vehicle is unaffected, or was affected and has had the service action applied, it will show as unaffected on the website.
Please note that it can take up to 28 days from your vehicle having the technical measure applied for the website to show the service action as completed.
Please note that we can only give information about SEAT cars. For other Volkswagen Group brands, please visit the relevant brand website.
You can find your VIN using our Registration to VIN look-up service at the bottom of this page. Alternatively, you can find your VIN in the front of the service book or at the bottom of the windscreen on the right hand side (as you look into the vehicle from the outside).

HOW TO FIND YOUR VIN
Please note that if your vehicle has been exported from the UK in the last 12 months, you should not use this VIN checker. Instead, you must use the VIN checker for the market in which your vehicle is currently registered in order to check the status of the EA 189 service action for your vehicle.
