SEAT healthcheck redemption – Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully.

These terms and conditions (the "Terms") apply to the Volkswagen Group's healthcheck redemption promotion available to certain customers (the "Promotion").  By participating in or redeeming the Promotion, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

In these Terms "you" means the individual participating in the Promotion

The promoter is Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Limited trading as SEAT, SKODA, Volkswagen or Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (as applicable) (the "Promoter"), whose registered office is at Yeoman's Drive, Blakelands, Milton Keynes MK14 5AN in conjunction with a participating retailer (the "Retailer").  Your Retailer's full details are set out in the "call to action" email sent to you by a participating Retailer (the "Email").

1.      Customers who book a vehicle healthcheck ("Healthcheck") from a participating Retailer to take place between 16 March 2023 and 31 May 2023 (inclusive) (the "Promotion Period") are entitled to take advantage of the Promotion described further in these Terms.


2.      The Promotion is available to residents of the United Kingdom, who:

a.      are aged 18 years or over;

b.      own a SEAT, SKODA or Volkswagen passenger vehicle or a Volkswagen commercial vehicle:

                                                     i.     purchased from a Retailer; and

                                                   ii.     registered between October 2012 and October 2020

(a "Qualifying Vehicle"); and

c.      last visited their Retailer between 1 December 2021 and 31 March 2022 (inclusive).

3.      The Promotion is not available to residents of the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.

4.      Where an individual owns a fleet of Qualifying Vehicles, they may be able to book more than one Qualifying Vehicle in for a Healthcheck and take advantage of the Promotion but this is at the sole discretion of the selected participating Retailer.

5.      Redemption of this Promotion by representatives of businesses (including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies) will be subject to that business's anti-bribery policy.  Representatives of a business participating in this Promotion must therefore ensure that they will be entitled to participate in the Promotion.


6.      To book a Healthcheck, please follow the Retailer's process as set out in the Email.  The Healthcheck covers the work listed in point 10.

7.      Work and/or parts identified as necessary following the Healthcheck are not included and you will be responsible for the additional costs of any such works or parts (subject to point 12 below).

8.      The Healthcheck is subject to the capacity and terms and conditions of participating Retailer.

9.      The Healthcheck is subject to any additional policies or requirements imposed by the Promoter or the applicable participating Retailer by notice on the Promotion website or by notice to you in connection with any Healthcheck booking.

10.   The Healthcheck covers a visual check of the parts listed below.  Please note some checks may be 'not applicable' to your particular vehicle depending on vehicle model, trimline, age – e.g. some checks are only applicable for internal combustion engines ("ICE") or electric vehicles ("EV") only.

The Promotion details

11.   You will have to pay the applicable fee for the Healthcheck (as determined by the participating Retailer) (the RRP is £20 (excl. VAT)) (the "Fee").  

12.   To the extent the Healthcheck identifies necessary service and/or maintenance work to be carried out ("Work") the Fee for the Healthcheck will be reimbursed to you by the participating Retailer by way of discount off the total price for the Work (providing the costs of the Work are greater than £100).

13.   Any additional costs, for example additional accessories, additional work and Work over the cost of the Fee must be paid for by the customer.  The Promotion cannot be redeemed against the cost of any accessories.

14.   There is no cash or other alternative to the Promotion.  The Promotion is non-transferable and non-refundable.

15.   The Retailer reserves the right to refuse to honour the Promotion for any person it believes is not participating within the spirit of the Promotion or suspects of participating in any unfair or unjust behaviour. The Retailer reserves the right to use its discretion in all respects.


16.   The Promoter will not be responsible for (a) any redemption attempts which are not received due to the use of incorrect or inaccurate information, any faulty or failed electronic data transmissions, or for any other reason; (b) any unauthorised access to, or theft, destruction or alteration of bookings at any point in the operation of the Promotion; (c) any technical malfunction, failure, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers used in any aspect of the operation of the Promotion; (d) inaccessibility or unavailability of any network or wireless service, the Internet and/or any website;  (e) any injury or damage to any person’s computer(s) or mobile device(s) which may be related to or result from any attempt to participate in the promotion or to download any materials in connection with the Promotion; (f) any loss, damage or breach arising as a result of an event outside of the Promoter's reasonable control.

17.   The Promoter will not be liable for any business losses that you may incur by participating in the Promotion, including but not limited to lost profits, lost revenues, business interruption, loss of goodwill or business opportunity. However, nothing in these Terms shall have the effect of excluding or restricting liability for personal injury or death caused by proved negligence of the Promoter nor any other liability which it would be unlawful to exclude or restrict.

18.   Any personal data (as defined under the General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679) (EU)) provided by the customer will be used, shared and held in accordance with all relevant data protection legislation currently in force and in line with our privacy statement and / or the privacy statement of the Retailer at which you book your Healthcheck (a link to which is included in the Email). 19.   Customers have a right to request a copy of information which the Promoter holds about them. To do so, please write to the Legal Department, Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Limited, Yeomans Drive, Blakelands, Milton Keynes, MK14 5AN or email dataprotection@vwg.co.uk.

20.   The Promoter reserves the right to delay, postpone, vary or cancel the Promotion and/or to amend, vary or alter these Terms at any time as a result of an event outside of the Promoter's reasonable control, without prior notice or compensation, to the extent it considers it necessary to do so.

21.   If any provisions of these Terms are judged to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, this shall not affect or impact the continuation, in full force and effect, the remainder of the provisions.

22.   If there is a conflict in these Terms with any other terms whatsoever attached to any other advertising material in respect of this Promotion, these Terms will take precedence.

23.   The Healthcheck and these Terms (including any non-contractual dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them), are subject to English law. Any disputes must be referred to the courts of England and Wales.  Scottish and Northern Irish consumers may also bring an action in the Scottish and Northern Irish courts respectively.
