The SEAT IBX concept car represents our vision for an urban sports utility vehicle, combining SEAT’s powerful character and sporty design language with a self-confident look and distinctive proportions. Perfect design requires no decoration, that’s why the vehicle bears no ornamentation.
In its proportions, the IBX is a sports utility vehicle, but in its appearance it is clearly a sports coupé. The IBX has plenty of interior space, yet it remains agile and compact enough for urban streets and parking spaces.
This plug-in hybrid offers sustainable mobility. It is charged from a domestic power point and, with its electric range of 50 kilometres, can easily cover most everyday journeys, with zero local emissions. Yet personal freedom is guaranteed, courtesy of the internal combustion engine. And of course, the IBX is equipped with all the efficiency technologies from the ECOMOTIVE program.
SEAT Chief Designer Luc Donckerwolke says: “We are proving that with our design, our sporty pedigree and our youthful character, we can also create a vehicle concept that is unique among SUVs.”
